Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Customer Transactions:
- Greet customers as they approach the cash register or payment area.
- Process payments for food, drinks, and any other services (cash, credit/debit card, mobile payments).
- Handle and balance cash registers, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Issue receipts to customers after each transaction and provide necessary change.
- Ensure that customers are charged accurately based on their orders.
Order Management:
- Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure orders are processed correctly and promptly.
- Assist in managing any takeout or delivery orders and ensure timely payment collection.
- If applicable, assist in managing tabs for customers who are consuming drinks at the bar or table.
Customer Service:
- Address customer inquiries about menu items, promotions, or the establishment’s offerings.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, escalating issues to a manager if needed.
- Maintain a friendly, welcoming and professional demeanor at all times.
Inventory and Stock Monitoring:
- Keep track of cash, coins, and credit card receipts to ensure all financial transactions are accurate.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with the cash register to management immediately.
- Assist in the periodic counting of the restaurant’s till or drawer for end-of-day reconciliation.
Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization:
- Keep the cashier station, payment area, and surrounding environment clean and organized.
- Ensure that all materials (e.g., order pads, pens, receipts) are stocked and readily available.
Sales and Promotion Support:
- Promote special offers, discounts, or events to customers in a polite and non-intrusive manner.
- Ensure that customers are aware of ongoing deals, happy hours, or themed events within the restaurant/bar/nightclub.
Security and Safety:
- Ensure the safety and security of both customers and financial assets during shifts, particularly if working late into the night.
- Follow proper procedures for handling large cash amounts, keeping cash drawers locked when not in use, and reporting suspicious activity to management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations, especially in a restaurant/bar setting.
Collaborating with Team Members:
- Work closely with waitstaff, kitchen staff, and bartenders to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with other staff to ensure smooth operations, especially during busy periods.
End of Shift Duties:
- Count cash drawers at the end of the shift, verify totals, and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Ensure that all financial transactions have been properly recorded and report any issues to the manager.\
- Close out the cash register, ensure all sales have been processed, and prepare for the next shift.
Requirements:
- Preferably a female
- Is ready to work 3 days straight in a club setting.
