Job Summary
Our business, a group comprising manufacturing and commodity trading firms, seeks an experienced and detail-oriented Account Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations. The Account Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust internal controls, and providing strategic support.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Accounting Operations:
- Supervise all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial data recording and reporting.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide variance analysis on financial performance metrics and recommend corrective actions where needed.
Budget Management:
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget.
- Track and report budget deviations, providing insights for realignment.
Audit and Compliance:
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
- Maintain compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations, and industry standards.
Internal Controls:
- Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Monitor adherence to policies, especially spending controls, to reduce fraud risks.
Leadership:
- Manage and mentor the Accounts Team, fostering professional development.
- Ensure team objectives align with organizational goals.
Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with the Manufacturing Accountant to oversee inventory records and reconciliations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g. ACA ACCA CPA) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial reporting standards and tax laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical, leadership and communication skills.
