Accountant

Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Monitor and reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Track and analyze financial performance, highlighting variances and areas for improvement.

Property & Lease Accounting;

• Maintain accurate records of property-related transactions, including rent collections, lease agreements, and property sales.
• Monitor tenant billing, rent payments, and lease renewals to ensure timely collections.
• Calculate and record depreciation on real estate assets.
• Work with property managers to ensure accurate financial reporting for each property.

Compliance & Taxation:

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax.
• Maintain accurate financial records for audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Keep up to date with real estate financial regulations and industry best practices.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Management:

• Process invoices, payments, and vendor transactions accurately.
• Manage payroll processing, including deductions and benefits.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies with tenants, suppliers, and financial institutions.

Financial Systems & Internal Controls:

• Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls to safeguard company assets.
• Optimize accounting software and financial management systems for efficiency.
• Assist in automating financial processes to enhance productivity.

Requirements:

• 2 years experience
• Minimum of HND
