Job Overview: The Account Officer will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, supporting budget planning, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles, particularly in the context of food and beverage distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Transactions Management: Oversee daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and maintained.

Budget Preparation and Support: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insightful analysis to aid in decision-making processes.

Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, financial data and inventory to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key metrics and insights relevant to the food and beverage distribution sector.

Compliance and Audit: Ensure all financial operations comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory standards. Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and addressing queries.

Customer Interaction: Interact with internal and external customers to resolve billing issues, address inquiries, and provide financial guidance as needed, ensuring excellent customer service.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy within the distribution operations.

Qualifications:

·      Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

·    Proven experience in a similar role.

·      Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

·      Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (particularly Excel).

·      Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

·      Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

·      Good communication and interpersonal skills.

·      Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

·      Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is an advantage.
