Job Summary
This is a full-time on-site role for an Account Payable Analyst located in Lagos. The Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for providing financial, accounting, and administrative services. The reviewing and processing of all payments and expense statements are also essential components of the role.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices and code invoices for payment applications in line with the business principles, procedure, and tax requirements (WHT, VAT, NCD)
- Monitor payment schedule ensuring that all costs for a particular period are properly coded and captured in that period.
- Collate supporting documents for submitted invoices (invoice verification) and forward all invoices to the appropriate department for approval.
- Implement all Financial and Accounting Policy Manual, Human Resources, and Administrative guidelines to the extent applicable to finance & accounting.
- Verify compliance with vendors’ contracts, PO, and invoices; conform with the specified time frame from the date of receipt.
- Process invoices within the daily target of 50 per day; resolve all rejected invoice issues within 48hrs
- Ensure the security, relevancy, and applicability of Accounting software in use
- Track all expenditures against budget and ensure costs charged to the cost center, allocable and allowable
Requirements:
- First degree or a Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and Economics or other related area
- Qualified/certified / member of an Accounting or Audit professional body (ACA/ACCA)
- 4 years cognate work experience within a reputable and structured business environment years
- Cognate work experience within a multi-national/structured organization; 2 years of Accounts Payable and tax application.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ERP, SAP, or Oracle accounting software will be an advantage
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other computer-based applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively with program staff and stakeholders across organizational boundaries.
