Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's financial health by overseeing daily accounting operations, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring compliance with internal processes and regulatory standards.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Process payroll and ensure statutory compliance (e.g., PAYE, VAT, Pension)
  • Conduct financial analysis and forecasting
  • Collaborate with department heads to monitor and control budgets
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Track inventory purchases, stock levels, and cost control
  • Provide regular updates to management on financial performance
  • Ensure timely remittance of tax and government-related payments 


Requirements:

  • HND/B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or related field                                                                                                                           
  • Minimum of 2–3 years proven experience as an accountant (experience in retail, FMCG or multi-department businesses is an advantage)                                                                           
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Excel-based tools)                                                                           
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills                                                                                                                                         
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multitask                                                                                                                                             
  • High level of integrity and discretion                                                                                                                                                   
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
