Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Process payroll and ensure statutory compliance (e.g., PAYE, VAT, Pension)
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting
- Collaborate with department heads to monitor and control budgets
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Track inventory purchases, stock levels, and cost control
- Provide regular updates to management on financial performance
- Ensure timely remittance of tax and government-related payments
Requirements:
- HND/B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2–3 years proven experience as an accountant (experience in retail, FMCG or multi-department businesses is an advantage)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Excel-based tools)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and multitask
- High level of integrity and discretion
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
