Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team in Abuja. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, including financial record-keeping, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations. Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, 1 assess financial performance, and make informed business decisions.
- Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Reconcile bank accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
- Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Provide support to other departments on financial matters.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting certifications such as ACCA, ICAN, or ANAN (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong work ethic and a team player attitude.
