Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Generate reports on financial performance, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure they align with the approved budget.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory obligations.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and reports.
  • Identify areas of risk and implement internal controls to enhance financial integrity.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
  • Oversee payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Tally) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills to convey financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with tax laws, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory requirements.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and performing reconciliations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
  • Teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and risk management practices.
  • Adaptability to new technologies and willingness to learn industry-specific software.
