Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts, and analyze variances between actual results and budgeted figures.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, payment processing, and collection of outstanding amounts.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations, and prepare and file tax returns as required.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.
• Audit Support: Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and responding to audit queries.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and provide insights into the company’s financial performance.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors, negotiating terms and ensuring timely payments and receipt of goods/services.

Requirements:

• Minimum academic qualification of HND in accounting or a related field
• 3 years of working experience
