Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial reporting, analysis, and compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of project-based accounting, cost management, and financial analysis.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:


Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (profit and loss, balance sheets, cash flow).
  • Generate project-specific financial reports, tracking costs, revenue, and profitability.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and projections to support business planning.
  • Analyze project profitability.


Project Accounting & Cost Management:

  • Monitor budgets, providing financial insights for project cost estimations and company expenditures.
  • Analyze project cost variances and provide recommendations for cost control.
  • Manage and reconcile project-related expenses (materials, labor, subcontractors).
  • Track change orders and their financial impact.
  • Work closely with project manager, and other team members to ensure accurate financial tracking of projects.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to project teams.


Accounting Operations & Compliance:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
  • Process invoices and payments to vendors and subcontractors.
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal controls.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and other regulatory filings.
  • Assist with audits


Payroll:

  • Process payroll, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • ICAN or ACCA certification is required.
  • Experience with inventory control
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Accountant.
  • Strong understanding of project costing, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
  • Knowledge of contract administration.
  • Experience in project-based accounting and cost management.
