Accountant

Our client, a FMCG organization into sales of solar / inverter batteries & automobile batteries is seeking for a competent Accountant who will set up accounting structures, establish accounting policies and procedures for the company. Be responsible for recording all financial transactions accurately and reconcile accounts. Prepare balance sheets, income statements and other reports. Perform cost and general ledger analysis and complete tax audits ensuring compliance.

The Role

• Document financial transactions by entering account information
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
• Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted accounting procedures
• Submitting quarterly VAT returns
• Carrying out bank reconciliations
• Maintaining & updating fixed asset records
• Managing ledgers
• Producing budgets and forecasts
• Negotiation and administration of company insurances and pensions
• Managing cash flow and bank balances
• Providing general financial advice to the Managing Director, Shareholders and Managers
• Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with clients
• Communicate with Manager and/or Director on work status and client issues that arise
• Secure financial information by completing database backups
• Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
• Credit control & management
  
  

Ideal Profile

• You have at least 2 years experience within a Accounts Receivable / AR role, ideally within the FMCG industry.
• You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
• You are highly goal driven and work well in fast paced environments
• You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable dealing with numerical data
