ACCOUNT/OPERATION LEAD

Job summary

Our company in the freight and forwarding industry is looking to hire a competent accountant who will oversee the accounting and financial activities of the company.

Responsibilities

·        Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements; collate financial reporting materials for all business lines, and oversee all financial accounting

·        Archiving financial documentation and updating accounting databases on a monthly or annual basis.

·        Ensure that the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements

·        Oversee administrative functions as well as facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations.

·        Maintaining files on account receivables and updating records as required.

·        Managing the flow of petty cash by recording all monetary transactions.

·        Updating management on any financial discrepancies found during tax filing or invoicing duties

·        Adhere to best practices in accounting, as outlined by industry experts and espoused by the company.

·        Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes; and keep the Board abreast of the organization’s financial status.

Requirements

·        Minimum of BSc. in accounting (1st class will be an added advantage)

·        Negotiation and Analytical skills

·        Critical thinking and Presentation Skills

·        Time management and organizational skills

·        Decision making and Problem-solving skills

·        Effective written and verbal communication skill plus active listening skills

·        Proficiency in accounting tools

·        ICAN certification is also an added advantage
