Our client in the finance sector is seeking to hire a results-oriented Area Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and oversee a team of sales professionals within the Abuja region. This role involves crafting and executing sales strategies, managing resources effectively, and optimizing the sales process to meet and exceed targets. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic approach to lead generation, customer engagement, and market development, fostering a high-performance team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management:
- Train and coach team members on effective sales strategies, product knowledge, and customer engagement.
- Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork within the sales team.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and develop individual growth plans.
- Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement tailored sales plans to achieve retail and revenue targets.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand market reach.
- Analyze sales data to refine sales processes, enhance productivity, and improve results.
- Lead Generation and Conversion:
- Design and execute initiatives to generate and nurture leads.
- Convert leads into qualified sales opportunities, ensuring effective pipeline management.
- Monitor conversion rates and adjust strategies to maximize success.
- Product Development and Cluster Identification:
- Collaborate with product teams to develop and refine sales-ready offerings.
- Identify and target high-potential customer clusters to optimize regional market penetration.
- Develop and execute targeted sales campaigns to drive awareness and conversions.
- Funds Management:
- Manage sales budgets and allocate resources strategically.
- Optimize sales expenses to maximize return on investment (ROI) while maintaining efficient operations.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of sales experience within the financial sector, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role; fintech experience is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or a related field.
