Responsibilities:
Talent Scouting & Acquisition:
- Identify and evaluate emerging artists, songwriters, and producers through live performances, demos, social media, and industry contacts.
- Stay informed of current market trends, and scout for artists who align with PRAG Music’s innovative vision of blending local roots with global sounds.
- Lead contract negotiations with artists, managers, and agents, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
Artist Development:
- Collaborate with signed artists to shape their sound, image, and career strategy.
- Offer creative direction on song selection, songwriting, and music production to enhance the artist’s brand.
- Assist with artist branding, marketing strategies, and promotional campaigns to build a global audience.
Project Management:
- Oversee the recording process from pre-production through to release, ensuring all deliverables meet industry standards.
- Work closely with producers, engineers, and session musicians to deliver top-tier productions.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Music Industry Networking:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the music industry, including record labels, publishers, managers, and agents.
- Represent PRAG Entertainment Ltd at industry events, showcases, and concerts to expand the label’s network and presence.
- Collaborate with internal departments (marketing, legal, finance) to ensure smooth execution of artist contracts and promotional plans.
Market Research and Trends:
- Continuously research the latest music trends, technologies, and platforms that are shaping the industry both locally and globally.
- Monitor the performance of signed artists, using data to adjust strategies and maximize success.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in A&R, artist management, or a similar role within the music industry.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Business, or a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent industry experience and expertise will also be considered.
- Proven success in scouting and developing new talent.
- Experience across a variety of musical genres, with a keen sense of local and global music trends.
