Job Summary

We are currently seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Accountant at our facility in Awka, Anambra State. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for assisting the Accountant with all financial related tasks to ensure efficiency in our operations.

Minimum Qualification : HND
Experience Level : Entry level
Experience Length : 2 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Assist in reviewing and analyzing company expenses to ensure accuracy and compliance with budgetary guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of receipts and invoices of all company expenses.
Report any record of discrepancies to the accountant.
Assist in preparing expense reports for management review.
Coordinate with the logistics and warehouse team for necessary records and information confirmation.
Manage financial aspects of procurement, including purchase orders, vendor payments, and cost tracking.
Maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions and update the accounting system accordingly.
Assist in processing payroll by verifying deductions, and benefits, for timely payment of all employees.
Perform other financial tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum of HND in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Good understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheets.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Good communication, interpersonal skills, and a high level of integrity and professionalism.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional certifications such as ICAN, CB, CPA, or other relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
