Assistant Cook

Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring as required by recipes.
• Marinate meats, prepare sauces and assemble other components of dishes.
• Manage proper storage of food items to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.
• Use kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
• Report any malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate personnel and assist in routine maintenance.
• Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure timely preparation of meals.
• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff or assistants.
• Assist in planning and developing menus, including specials and new dishes.
  
• Manage time effectively to ensure that all orders are prepared and delivered promptly.
• Prioritize tasks during busy periods to maintain efficiency
• Suggest improvements or modifications to existing recipes.
  
• Occasionally interact with customers to take special requests or receive feedback.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment.
  
• Ensure customer satisfaction by preparing high-quality meals and accommodating special dietary needs when possible.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent contamination and foodborne illnesses.
  

• Good communication skills
• 2 years of experience as a cook
• Minimum of SSCE
• Great personal hygiene
