Assistant Financial Officer

Responsibilities:

• Financial Forecasting & Budgeting: Lead the development of financial forecasts and budgets for all brands under Key Retail Group on Amazon FBA. Utilize advanced financial modelling techniques to predict future financial trends, optimize cash flow, and ensure alignment with strategic business goals.
• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare, analyze, and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management and investors. Ensure all financial activities comply with internal policies and external regulations, maintaining the highest level of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
• Leadership & Team Management: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior assistant finance officers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Delegate tasks effectively, monitor team performance, and ensure that all financial tasks are completed to the highest standards.
• Day-to-Day Financial Support: Assist the Financial Officer in daily financial operations, including transaction processing, account reconciliation, and variance analyses. Ensure that all financial records are meticulously maintained and up-to-date.
• Reconciliation & Variance Analysis: Conduct regular reconciliation of accounts, ensuring that all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly. Perform variance analysis to understand deviations from financial forecasts and budgets, providing insights for corrective actions.
• Investor Relations: Manage financial communications with investors, providing them with accurate and timely financial information. Assist in the preparation of investor reports, highlighting key financial metrics and business performance indicators.
• Strategic Financial Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement long-term financial strategies. Analyze market trends, financial risks, and investment opportunities to support informed decision-making and drive business growth.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department. Implement best practices in financial management and reporting, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the e-commerce or retail industry.
• Proven expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring finance teams.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel, QuickBooks, and financial modelling software.
• In-depth knowledge of Amazon FBA financial operations and investor relations.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong ethical standards and integrity in handling confidential financial information.
