Assistant Video Editor

VBE Productions is seeking a Video Editor to assist with first cuts, basic transitions, and syncing audio for client videos. This role is part-time, with the potential to grow to full-time as we build our client base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create initial cuts with basic transitions and audio syncing
• Collaborate on edits suited for YouTube and social media
• Efficiently manage and communicate progress on project management tools

Requirements:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro (CapCut PC experience is a plus)
• Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, a good sense of humor for edits, excellent communication, and strong adherence to deadlines
• Preferred Traits: Independent, adaptable, and open to feedback
• Time Commitment: 2-3 days per week, with potential for full-time based on performance
• Location: Must live within Lagos Island (VI, Ikoyi, Lekki, Chevron, VGC areas) and be open to working onsite once a week (if the need arises... we prefer working remotely)

Ideal Hardware:

• A reliable computer for video editing, ideally with high processing power, ample RAM, and dedicated storage for handling video files

Resources Provided by VBE:

• External hard drive and cloud storage access for project files
• Workspace, project management tools, and regular team communication platforms
