Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Legal Advisory & Compliance:
- Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
- Ensure company policies and procedures comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on industry-specific legal issues.
Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, NDAs, and licensing agreements.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in contractual obligations.
Risk Management & Dispute Resolution:
- Assist in managing legal risks and developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Support the legal team in handling disputes, litigation, and regulatory investigations.
- Work with external counsel as needed.
Corporate Governance & Transactions:
- Support corporate governance matters, including board resolutions and compliance filings.
- Assist in mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., HR, Finance, Compliance) to ensure alignment with legal and business objectives.
- Communicate legal advice clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
Other Legal Support:
- Monitor and analyze changes in laws and regulations affecting the business.
- Provide training to employees on legal best practices, risk management, and compliance.
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice law
- 5+ years of legal experience, preferably in corporate, commercial, or regulatory law.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent contract drafting and negotiation abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis) and contract management software.
