Database Developer

The role involves creating and maintaining SQL databases, including tables and indexes, developing T-SQL procedures and functions, and performing performance tuning and optimization. Responsibilities also include developing scripts for data migration, providing technical support for solution implementation, and supporting database schemes and triggers.

The contract is for 3 months.

Operational Responsibilities:

Creating and maintaining SQL databases.

Create tables, index, table type, etc.

Use T-SQL to develop and implement procedures and functions.

Performing database performance tuning and optimization.

Develop procedures and scripts for data migration.

Technical support of solution implementation.

Providing support for schemes and triggers.

Collaborating with software developers to integrate database solutions into applications.

Staying up-to-date with emerging database technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Database Management Systems (DBMS): Proficiency in popular DBMSs, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, and Microsoft SQL Server.

SQL and NoSQL: Strong skills in writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting SQL queries, as well as experience with NoSQL databases for certain applications.

Database Design and Modeling: Knowledge of database design principles, normalization, indexing, and ER modeling.

Data Security and Compliance: Familiarity with security best practices and data compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

Data Backup, Recovery, and Replication: Experience with data redundancy, high availability, disaster recovery, and data backup methods.

Performance Tuning: Skills in database performance optimization, query tuning, and resource management.

Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for task automation.

Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud databases and services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL).
