Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bids specialist, with a proven track record in the upstream oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing the bidding process from start to finish, with verifiable success in securing contracts with International Oil Companies (IOCs) and Local Oil Companies (LOCs).

Job Description/Requirements
- Lead the end-to-end bidding process, including proposal development, cost estimation, technical write-ups, and contract negotiations.
- Develop competitive and compliant bids that align with the client’s requirements and company standards.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams (engineering, finance, legal, etc.) to gather necessary information for proposal preparation.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of tender documents to identify key requirements and risks.
- Build relationships with IOCs, LOCs, and other stakeholders to enhance bid success rates.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to improve bidding strategies.
- Ensure timely submission of bids and address any clarifications or follow-up requirements from clients.
- Maintain a database of past bids, including lessons learned, success rates, and areas for improvement.
- Respond to request for quotation.
- Prepare quotations according to specifications of clients, budget, preferences, etc.
- Interface with Vendors or OEMs to get the best prices.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bid management, specifically within the upstream oil and gas sector.
- Demonstrated success in winning bids with IOCs and LOCs, with verifiable and trackable records.
- Strong understanding of oil and gas projects' technical, commercial, and contractual aspects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in bid management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policies, and systems.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
- Goal-oriented, organized team player.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Remuneration: NGN 265,000 - 310,000
