Responsibilities:

• Checking designs: Ensuring that technical designs and drawings are followed correctly
• Liaising with others: Working with clients, subcontractors, and other professional staff
• Providing technical advice: Solving problems on-site and offering technical advice
• Preparing reports: Creating site reports and other required paperwork
• Ensuring compliance: Making sure that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are followed
• Assisting with estimates: Helping to prepare estimates for construction time frames and material costs
• Quality assurance: Assisting with and ensuring quality assurance on a construction project
• Learning software: Becoming proficient in relevant software
• Completing tasks: Completing tasks assigned by their supervisor
• Attending meetings: Taking minutes at meetings

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in construction safety, quality assurance, or project management are an advantage.
• Previous experience in a similar role or hands-on construction work (1–3 years preferred).
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.
• Familiarity with construction-related software (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM tools) and willingness to learn new tools.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and sustainability regulations in construction.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for addressing on-site challenges.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Competent in preparing detailed reports and maintaining accurate project records.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and professional staff.
• High attention to detail for ensuring quality and accuracy in work.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
• Physically fit and capable of working in demanding site environments.
• Ability to travel to different construction sites as required.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and sustainable construction environment.
• Flexibility to attend site meetings and adapt to changing project needs.
