Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and study construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Perform various construction tasks
- Coordinate and collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Operate and maintain construction equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure that projects are completed within budget and time constraints.
- Monitor project progress, identify any potential issues, and recommend solutions to ensure quality and timely completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal building regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum academic qualification of a HND in Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Builder or in a similar construction role.
- Minimum of (5) years’ experience in a Builder role
- Experience taking on management of a project start to finish particularly on a large commercial scale will be an added advantage
- Professional certification from the national board/association is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and tools.
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Proficient in using construction equipment and hand tools.
- Excellent physical stamina and manual dexterity.
