An experienced Business and Operations Lead to oversee organizational operations and drive business development and client engagement efforts. You will be responsible for ensuring effective implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of our projects, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering relationships with potential clients and Partners

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development:
  • Lead the development of proposals and business development strategies to secure new projects and partnerships.
  • Engage with potential clients, conduct meetings, and manage relationships to expand NerdzFactory’s client base.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with NerdzFactory’s mission and goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor service offerings to client needs and market demands.
  • Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to review project progress and explore opportunities for additional collaboration.
  • Program Oversight:
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the successful implementation of all programs and projects.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Work closely with program managers to track progress, address challenges, and report outcomes to senior management.
  • Operations Management:
  • Oversee the teams responsible for day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Work closely with senior management to develop and implement organizational strategies, ensuring alignment with the organization’s long-term goals.
  • Drive organizational growth by identifying and pursuing new opportunities for program expansion, partnerships, and funding.
  • Supervise vendor relationships, procurement processes, and contract negotiations to ensure the best value for the organization.

Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of progressive experience in business development, programs management, and operations within the development sector
  • Experience in developing successful proposals for diverse clients, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector organizations.
  • Proven track record of overseeing complex projects from inception to completion
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office, and digital tools for managing business development activities.
  • Residence in Lagos and willingness to travel locally.
