Reports to: Business Development Manager
Our Client is a consulting firm that delivers strategic solutions for clients looking to grow and innovate. The company offers market entry strategies, financial planning, and operational support, helping businesses succeed across various sectors.
Our client seeks a proactive and experienced business development analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting our business development efforts by developing proposals, creating financial models, and assisting with business plans. This role will also involve coordinating meetings with potential partners and clients, preparing materials, and presenting insights to stakeholders.
Proposal Development
- Create customized proposals and pitch decks that effectively communicate the value proposition of our consulting services to potential clients.
Business Planning
- Develop comprehensive business plans for clients, including market research, competitive analysis, growth strategies, and operational plans that align with business objectives.
Financial Modeling
- Create and analyze financial models, projections, and budgets, supporting strategic decision-making for internal projects and client engagements.
Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, competitor performance, and opportunities for growth across targeted sectors.
Client Relationship Management
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business challenges and objectives. Schedule and lead client meetings, presenting insights and recommendations aligned with their goals.
Reporting & Presentations
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on business development activities, new opportunities, and market trends, and present findings to senior management and clients.
Experience
- 2-4 years of experience in business development, financial analysis, or consulting, focusing on developing proposals, business plans, and financial models.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree in a related field is an advantage.
Technical Proficiency
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and business analysis tools (Excel, Google Sheets).
- Experience with CRM software and project management tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Asana, etc.).
- Ability to use presentation software (PowerPoint, Google Slides) to build compelling business decks.
- Familiarity with market research tools and techniques.
Communication
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to craft clear, concise proposals and deliver persuasive presentations.
Analytical Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
Interpersonal Skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners.
- Experience in managing client relationships and holding productive business meetings.
Entrepreneurial Mindset
- Self-starter who can work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in venture capital or working with investment firms.
- Experience in proposal writing for government contracts or tenders.
