Role Overview
The Business Development Associate will play a crucial role in our firm's expansion by managing prospect research, crafting compelling outreach communications, and supporting our content marketing efforts. This position reports directly to the founder/CEO and offers significant opportunity for professional growth in the business consulting space.
Key Responsibilities
Client Research & Prospecting (45%)
- Conduct in-depth research on potential clients in North American and EMEA markets
- Identify and document organizational challenges these prospects may be facing
- Build detailed profiles of decision-makers, including their professional backgrounds and potential pain points
- Develop and maintain a robust CRM database of qualified prospects
- Create weekly prospect reports identifying ideal profiles
Communication & Outreach (30%)
- Draft personalized, compelling outreach emails aligned with our firm's voice and positioning
- Manage email sequences and follow-up communications with prospects
- Monitor response rates and refine outreach strategies based on performance data
- Coordinate scheduling of introductory calls and meetings
- Prepare briefing documents ahead of client conversations
- Assist with proposal development as needed
Content & Digital Presence (25%)
- Support the creation of external content (articles, case studies, white papers)
- Research industry trends and gather relevant statistics for content creation
- Assist with editing and formatting of marketing materials
- Help manage social media content calendar and scheduling
- Monitor engagement metrics and provide recommendations for improving digital presence
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or related roles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong research capabilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Google Workspace, Slack and Notion
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Organized approach to managing multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred
- Experience in consulting or professional services industry
- Knowledge of operations management principles
- Familiarity with North American business culture and communication styles
- Experience with content creation and digital marketing
- Proficiency with tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, etc.
Work Environment
- Full-time, remote position
