Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Identifying and generating business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth.
- Developing new import clients in both Air and Ocean/Sea freight. Air Import and Export and should attain the revenue goals for the set period.
- Provide comprehensive freight solutions for customers and analyze needs to create logistics solutions for the customers and commitment to service excellence.
- Offers customers innovative solutions that address the unique demands of the freight industry.
- Maintain the existing business volumes while prospecting for new business opportunities. while successfully marketing the company’s freight services.
- Plan weekly sales calls.
- Create a target sales list and build a pipeline.
- Solicits new business opportunities.
- Maintain current business relationships.
- Improve profitability.
- Assist with Requests for Proposal (RFP's).
- Prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) for customer instructions.
- Identify new business opportunities by cold calling, virtual meetings, etc.
- Follow up on all sales leads.
- Participate in pricing analysis.
- Prepare and execute sales presentations.
- Participate in sales meetings.
- Developing and presenting proposals customized for each client's specific needs.
- Ensuring excellent customer service through regular client follow-up.
- Translating proposals into ready-to-sign sales deals and contracts.
- Owning the sales lifecycle from prospecting to implementation
- Analyzes and interprets competitive data
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required, and/or a minimum of 5 years of related work or industry-related experience is required.
- Strong experience in freight forwarding logistics industry B2B sales.
- Existing customer base and an established network of contacts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively plan and organize appointments and meet reporting deadlines.
- Must have excellent networking skills.
- Participation in industry-related events.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Proven record of sales success.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business strategies and achieving sales targets.
- Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase revenue, market share, and profitability.
