Job Summary

We are looking to hire a suitable candidate to fill this position. The ideal candidate will develop new customer relationships and maintain existing ones; interface with other team members involved in meeting Customers’ needs to achieve Customer’s Satisfaction as well as the Company’s targets for growth, revenue generation and profitability. Coordinate the Business Development team to achieve company goals and objectives

Job Description/Requirements

Key Result Areas:

  • Generation of sales from existing and new prospects, as well as attending to customer enquiries.
  • Providing Industry landscape report detailing current trends and indicating Opportunities for the business
  • Implementation of innovative strategies for business expansion.
  • Achievement of agreed Sales Targets.
  • Timely preparation and submission of weekly Sales report 


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create strategies for business expansion of relevant sectors in line with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Generate new leads  and foster relationships with existing customers.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to exceed the assigned sales and profitability targets.
  • Monitor and consistently track the pipeline of prospects/leads for timely conversion.
  • Apply technical expertise, excellent market and business management skills required for handling customer requests
  • Use of company’s internal tools to deliver highly accurate forecasts that identify revenue and timing of all projects, resulting in a qualified pipeline of prospects.
  • Efficient implementation and management of specific business plans/actions through regular meetings and reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Make compelling sales pitch/presentations, of company products and services.
  • Effectively collaborate with the company’s strategic partners and other departments, such as finance, marketing, product, project and customer experience, to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Provide feedback regarding market trends, pricing and competition,  to commercial operations – including win/loss analysis.
  • Build strategic business relationships with key decision makers/ stakeholders.
  • Understand customer’s technical and application needs, in order to provide appropriate company solution, that best addresses the customer requirements.
  • Strong Business analytics, commercial skills, and proven sales track record.
  • Evaluate and target potential customers (penetration, attractiveness, accessibility), in order to best allocate resources, verify opportunities and build customer action/ business plan.


Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification (Degree) in any Biological Science Related Course.
  • Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • 3 - 4 years’ cognate work experience in a fast-paced, Organization preferably in a similar role.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools
