Job Summary

As a Business Development Manager in the hospitality industry, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth through strategic planning, sales, and customer relationship management. The primary focus will be on increasing financial revenue, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. You will also work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of sales processes and deliver excellent service to both new and existing clients.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy aimed at boosting both financial gains and customer satisfaction in the hospitality sector.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research to identify new markets, emerging trends, and customer needs that align with the company’s goals.
  • Client Meetings and Relationship Building: Arrange and attend business meetings with prospective clients to explore new business opportunities. Build and maintain long-term relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Product/Service Promotion: Promote the company’s products and services by addressing client needs and predicting future trends and demands within the hospitality industry.
  • Contract Management: Prepare and negotiate sales contracts in adherence to law-established guidelines and company policies. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Sales Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed records of sales activities, revenues, invoices, and client interactions. Use this data to track performance against business targets.
  • Feedback and After-Sales Support: Provide trustworthy feedback and consistent after-sales support to clients to foster long-term satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop entry-level staff, shaping them into effective salespeople, capable of contributing to the company's success.
  • Competitor and Market Monitoring: Regularly monitor and report on local and national market trends, competitor activities, and industry changes. Use insights to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Sales System Management: Establish and manage sales systems to ensure that client profiles, interests, requirements, and all relevant sales activities are tracked and up to date.
  • Sales Targets and KPIs: Work towards achieving agreed-upon sales Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as set by the Head of Conference, Events, and Visitor Services.
  • Sales Executive Management: Provide line management support to the Sales Executive, ensuring that all sales activities align with the company's goals.
  • Support for Conference Activities: Assist the conference team in delivering conference activities, providing additional support where necessary.
  • General Duties: Undertake any additional responsibilities commensurate with the position to support business development and overall company success


Requirements:

  • Degree in a related field
  • 3 years experience
