Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) for oil and gas pipelines, process facilities, civil works, and heavy equipment leasing and maintenance.
- Conduct market analysis to understand trends, competitor activities, and client needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients in the oil and gas sector.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Drive revenue growth by generating leads, preparing proposals, and securing contracts.
- Collaborate with technical and project teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
- Lead contract negotiations to close deals within target timelines.
- Establish partnerships with stakeholders, including government bodies, industry regulators, and other companies.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and conferences.
- Oversee the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
- Participate in bid reviews and presentations to clients.
- Track and report business development metrics, including lead conversion rates, client acquisition, and revenue growth.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on market trends and new business opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) sector, particularly in oil and gas.
- Strong understanding of oil and gas pipelines, process facilities, civil works, and heavy equipment leasing and maintenance.
- Proficiency in preparing technical and commercial proposals.
- Ability to analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client requirements to identify business opportunities.
- Proven track record in contract negotiation and closing deals within set timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present proposals and solutions effectively.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, industry regulators, and government bodies.
- Experience working with technical and project teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
- Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office Suite, and other relevant business development tools.
- Self-driven, goal-oriented, and capable of working under pressure to meet targets.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and project evaluations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with industry regulations, compliance standards, and government policies related to the oil and gas sector.
