Job Summary

Business Development Manager, Sales - IT Infrastructure (Hardware, Software, cloud services, consulting and design services, maintenance and support services, security solutions, etc.) is responsible for driving growth in the organization’s IT infrastructure business.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement a business development strategy for IT infrastructure solutions, focusing on market penetration and revenue growth.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, emerging technologies, and potential business opportunities.
  • Create comprehensive business plans to target specific industries or clients requiring IT infrastructure solutions.
  • Identify and engage potential clients to understand their IT infrastructure needs and propose tailored solutions.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales pitches, proposals, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their queries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Work closely with technical teams to design and propose IT infrastructure solutions that align with client needs.
  • Ensure all proposed solutions are feasible and aligned with company capabilities and strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate with pre-sales and technical teams to ensure accurate documentation and pricing of solutions.
  • Oversee the implementation of IT infrastructure projects to ensure they meet client expectations, timelines, and budgets.
  • Manage risks and challenges during project execution, ensuring smooth delivery of solutions.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics, including sales targets, pipeline status, and client engagement activities.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on market insights, client feedback, and growth opportunities.


Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure solutions, including cloud computing, data centers, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Proven ability to close deals and negotiate favourable terms.
  • Ability to align business development strategies with organizational goals.
  • Familiarity with technical aspects of IT infrastructure and the ability to discuss these with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Proficiency in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client engagement and internal collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in business development or sales in IT infrastructure or related fields.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies, such as virtualization, cloud platforms, and enterprise networking.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and project management software.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are advantageous.
