Job Summary

The Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying and pursuing opportunities to grow the organization’s client base, revenue, and market presence. This role involves building strong relationships with clients and partners, analyzing market trends, and developing strategies to drive business success. The ideal candidate is a motivated, results-oriented professional with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research new business opportunities, including markets, clients, and partnerships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the business and achieve revenue targets.
  • Analyze market trends and industry data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners to maximize value.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored proposals and solutions.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track leads, manage client interactions, and analyze sales data.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and pitches to stakeholders and management.
  • Address client challenges with innovative and effective solutions.
  • Work independently or lead a team to achieve business objectives and project goals.
  • Ensure tasks are executed efficiently with strong attention to detail and organization.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Project management, or business development, or related area (typically 4-5 years).
  • Knowledge of industry-specific trends,  or a specific sector (e.g., tech, finance) may be required.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to analyze markets and identify new business opportunities.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to maintain and grow partnerships.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, data analysis, and Microsoft Office.
  • Problem-solving abilities to address client needs and drive solutions.
  • Leadership and teamwork capabilities (if managing a team).
  • Highly motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
