We are seeking a proactive, strategic, and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our team and help take our business to the next level. The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and developing strategies to increase sales. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the fashion and textile industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct research to identify potential markets and customer needs in the fabric sector.
- Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including B2B partnerships, retail expansions, and potential distributors.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key clients, both existing and new, to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business growth objectives and increase market share.
- Networking: Attend industry events, trade shows, and other relevant events to build a strong network and promote the company’s offerings.
- Proposal Writing and Negotiations: Draft business proposals and close deals to secure new business opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and product development teams to align business development activities with overall company goals.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the fabric, textiles, or fashion industry.
- Strong understanding of the fashion market, including key players, trends, and product offerings.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in driving business goals.
- Minimum of OND in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory if experience is relevant).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). CRM knowledge is a plus
Working Conditions:
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Five Days working week
Remuneration: NGN 150,000 - 170,000 depending on experience
