Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Driving the growth of a company by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships, and managing client accounts.
  • Lead Generation: The BDM identifies potential clients and markets by researching industry trends, competition, and customer needs. They seek opportunities through networking, referrals, and cold outreach.
  • Sales Strategy: They develop and execute sales strategies, presenting the company's products or services to potential clients. This includes crafting proposals and negotiating contracts.
  • Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with both current and potential clients is key to their role. The BDM nurtures these relationships to ensure client satisfaction and long-term business.
  • Market Research: A BDM stays informed about the market landscape, industry trends, and competitors to better understand where opportunities lie.
  • Collaboration: They work closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams to align strategies, improve service offerings, and optimize the sales pipeline
  • Revenue Growth: Their ultimate goal is to drive revenue growth by securing new business and finding opportunities to expand within existing accounts.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Business Development Managers often track key performance indicators (KPIs), measure success, and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Negotiation: They play a pivotal role in negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with clients, ensuring both the company and client are satisfied with the agreement.
  • Product Knowledge: A deep understanding of the company’s products and services is essential for BDMs to effectively convey value propositions to clients and identify the best solutions.
  • Networking: Regularly attending industry events and conferences and building a personal network is critical for generating leads and fostering industry connections.



Requirements:

  • Minimum of degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
