Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a keen knowledge base of the operation of the organization
  • Plan out & strategize business opportunity moves: Gain knowledge as to which new prospective contract opportunities exist and institute a process to secure such.
  • Initiate a strong campaign to secure jobs through a thorough and consistent follow-up
  • Check the internet regularly (e.g. tri-weekly) to take advantage of any online bid invitations e.g. the Nipex website
  • Review daily newspapers and the internet in search of publicized bids/tenders
  • Obtain and keep finger-tip-ready, documents required for the preparation of a professional bid/tender for submission where required. (This should be in both soft & hardcopy mode)
  • Maintain former business relationships by calling, ‘pop-in’ visits
  • Obtain referrals from existing clients/new clients to confirm the company’s job expertise
  • Create a concise client list database capturing relevant information: Company (name & address), Contact
  • Name(s) & Designation(s), Telephone & Email: Develop client list for the distribution of company gifts
  • Prepare a weekly 1-page report detailing the week’s activities, present job status, target, closure date and
  • submit to the GM on Friday; this will form the base of discussion at the start of the next week.
  • Pursue relevant company registration with a reputable organization for the purpose of securing contract opportunities.
  • Conduct ‘mock’ PowerPoint’ presentation to select staff/management in readiness for client presentations
  • Aggressively seek new business channels and outlets, both great and small to enable the company to greater experience and visibility opportunities.
  • Build and secure a strong client list and liaise with key personnel to constantly maintain viable information base on related matters to profit the company
  • Lead in sales of all Agricultural and Allied products of the Nenda Group and maintain a customer database while developing new customers.
  • Supervise the production of all Agricultural and Allied products to meet market demand and quality.
  • Lead in sales of all associated Nenda Group products in Entertainment, Hospitality, Engineering, and Real Estate and ensure market creation for all products and services.
  • Lead in the preparation of Pre-qualification bids for opportunities published in the dailies, internet, or other notifications and ensure follow-up.
  • Participate in the preparation of Commercial bids for opportunities published in the dailies, internet, or other notifications.
  • Other reasonable and related company assignments that may be required of me from time to time.


Requirements:

  • 2+ years of cognate experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledgeable and good grasp of the business terrain
  • Interpersonal/People Management Skills
  • Persuasive & negotiating skills
  • Computer literacy skills – Innovative & creative


Focus Performance Gauge:

  • 5 business opportunities of more than 500,000.00 profit each
  • Develop a long time plan of anticipated business areas
  • 100% Accuracy on every tendered bid 
  • Weekly written report


Remuneration: NGN 60,000 - 80,000
