Position Summary
The Research Consultant is responsible for conducting a desk review of existing materials, offline and online, to analyze the types of conflict that focus on micro-water shed management and identify the types of conflict that will risk project delivery and make recommendations for addressing such. Develop a detailed report to provide an analysis of the causes of the identified conflicts, trends, dynamics, and effects on the project investment and target beneficiaries. It will also identify incidents associated with the conflict that may impact project implementation (i.e., the ability of community members to gather for meetings and the project to deliver investments and supervise implementation). The report will also differentiate between the types of conflicts that the project is related or not related to and can exacerbate the conflict. The conflict analysis report will also elaborate on how the project should distinguish between conflicts that originate between groups and those at higher levels and the recommendations for Project implementation. The conflict analysis is expected to cover the 20 states in the Six geo-political zones in Nigeria + FCT.
