We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Upholsterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, assembling, repairing, and upholstering furniture and other wooden structures. Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Furniture Construction: Build and assemble wooden furniture, cabinets, and fixtures according to design specifications.
- Upholstery: Repair, replace, or install upholstery on furniture, ensuring durability and a high-quality finish.
- Woodworking: Measure, cut, shape, and join wood and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Furniture Repair: Inspect, assess, and repair damaged furniture and structures, restoring them to a functional and aesthetically pleasing state.
- Custom Design: Collaborate with designers or clients to create custom furniture and upholstery pieces.
- Material Selection: Choose the appropriate fabrics, padding, wood, and other materials based on client requirements and the project’s needs.
- Finishing: Sand, stain, paint, or varnish wooden surfaces to achieve the desired finish.
- Safety and Maintenance: Adhere to safety protocols and ensure tools and machinery are properly maintained.
- Quality Control: Ensure all projects meet design specifications, structural integrity, and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Minimum SSCE
- 1 year work experience
