Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process payments (cash, credit, and checks) from customers and clients.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and credits to customers as needed.
- Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly in the financial system.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Update account status regularly, ensuring that all records are current and accurate.
- Organize and file financial documents for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
- Verify the accuracy of payment information and account balances.
- Reconcile cash drawers and account discrepancies at the end of each day.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to the Head of Cashier.
- Address customer inquiries regarding payments and account statuses.
- Provide excellent customer service, resolving any payment issues or discrepancies promptly and professionally.
- Assist customers with understanding their account balances and payment options.
- Adhere to all financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of all financial data and transactions.
- Report any suspicious activities or discrepancies to the Head of Cashier immediately.
Requirements:
- BSc/HND or equivalent In Accounting, Business administration, or any Related Field. Additional certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a cashier or in a similar role.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in using financial software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle transactions securely and confidentially.
