Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and related hardware.
- Ensure proper placement and alignment of cameras for optimal coverage.
- Perform wiring and cabling in accordance with safety standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance to ensure systems function efficiently.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including camera faults, power supply problems, or network connectivity issues.
- Inspect and evaluate sites to determine optimal system installation.
- Provide recommendations for additional equipment or improved coverage.
- Configure system settings, including motion detection, storage capacity, and remote access.
- Integrate systems with other security devices such as alarms or access control.
- Maintain records of installations, inspections, and repairs.
- Prepare detailed reports on system performance and any corrective actions taken.
- Provide training to clients on system usage and troubleshooting.
- Respond promptly to service calls and ensure client satisfaction.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure installations comply with local regulations.
- Use appropriate tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) during installations.
Requirements:
- Diploma or certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Bonus).
- Proven experience as a CCTV Installer or in a similar role (minimum of 2 years preferred).
- Proficiency in installing and configuring CCTV systems, including IP and analog systems.
- Skilled in using hand tools, testing devices, and software for system setup.
- Familiarity with networking principles, including IP addressing, routers, and switches.
- Ability to integrate CCTV systems with network infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve system malfunctions.
- Clear and professional communication skills for client interaction and teamwork.
- Capability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and under varying weather conditions.
- Stamina to perform physically demanding tasks.
