Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Design and update menus with innovative recipes that reflect seasonal ingredients and current food trends, all while creating appealing dishes that are aesthetically pleasing and delicious.
  • Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals according to recipes and standards, ensuring that all dishes are presented in an attractive and appetizing way.
  • Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant’s standards for taste, quality, and presentation.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, assistants, and dishwashers. Ensuring that all staff are working efficiently and effectively with proper training and development.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs effectively to minimize waste.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen. Adhere to food safety regulations and follow sanitation guidelines to protect the health and safety of customers and staff.
  • Assist in managing the kitchen budget, including food costs, labor costs, and other operational expenses.
  • Work closely with the restaurant manager and other staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
  • Address customer feedback and adjust recipes and practices as needed to enhance the dining experience.
  • Plan and prepare menus for special events and catering functions
  • Cocktail preparations, Beverage and Mixologist menu development


Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in culinary arts or a related field
  • Minimum Bachelors’ degree
  • Three (3) years of experience in a similar role.
  • Mixologist experience in a pre- requisite for this role


Skills
:

  • Strong cooking skills, attention to detail, excellent communication and leadership skills,
  • Proficiency in mixology techniques, a strong knowledge of drink recipes and ability to develop unique and appealing cocktails is a plus.
  • Certifications: Food safety certification and any other relevant certifications.
