Job Summary
We are seeking a visionary and strategic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with a minimum of 10 years of experience and an advanced degree (MBA/MSc preferred) to lead our organization. Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive strategic plan and annual operational plan, monitoring progress and ensuring cost-effective and efficient achievement of organizational objectives.
- Prepare, secure approval for, and implement the annual budget, ensuring revenue targets are met, fixed costs are minimized, and financial goals are achieved.
- Establish and maintain effective links with government ministries, departments, agencies (MDAs), local authorities, and key decision-makers to ensure open communication and facilitate the organization’s advocacy efforts.
- Drive the organization’s prominence and visibility as a leader and voice of the business community within advocacy activities.
- Develop and implement effective marketing and public relations strategies to enhance the organization’s brand, services, and image within the wider business community.
- Promote the organization’s programs and initiatives, securing its role as a respected and influential voice in the industry.
- Identify, target, and establish strategic business partnerships to enhance organizational capabilities and increase impact within the industry.
- Initiate and nurture collaborative relationships with other organizations and companies to support growth and mutual benefit.
- Lead the development of research and advocacy initiatives that uphold the organization’s role as an essential voice of business in Nigeria.
- Ensure the organization employs evidence-based approaches and cost-effective methods for impactful advocacy and the promotion of ethical business standards.
- Implement Total Quality Management systems across the organization to guarantee the highest quality of programs and services for members and stakeholders.
- Foster an organizational culture focused on continuous improvement, best practices, and client-centered service delivery.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in leadership roles, with proven experience as a CEO or senior executive in a similar setting.
- Advanced degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (MBA or MSc preferred).
- Strong expertise in strategic planning, financial management, and budget oversight.
- Excellent communication and public relations skills, with the ability to represent the organization confidently to stakeholders, including government officials and business leaders.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in developing advocacy programs and maintaining effective relationships within government and industry.
- Strong leadership qualities, with a focus on driving operational excellence and sustainable growth.
