Chief Operating Officer

Responsibilities:

• Business Planning

• Collaborate with the Managing Director and other executive team members to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  
• Oversee all operational activities, including manufacturing, supply chain, quality assurance, distribution, and logistics, to ensure seamless execution of business operations.
• Establish and maintain high-quality standards throughout the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Develop and implement robust supply chain strategies to optimize inventory management, procurement processes, and distribution channels.

• Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, technologies, and capabilities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase production capacity.
  
• Work closely with the finance department to develop budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
• Identify potential risks and challenges in operations and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard business continuity and minimize disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards and other industry-specific requirements.

• Develop, and mentor a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and industry partners, to drive business growth and sustainability.
• Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to monitor operational performance, track progress against targets, and drive accountability.
• Leverage technology and digital solutions to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and drive innovation across the organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field
• MBA is an added advantage
• Possess other relevant professional affiliations and certifications
• At least 10+ years’ proven track record in Executive leadership positions in the Pharma space
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong track record of driving operational excellence and delivering results.
• In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, quality assurance standards, supply chain management, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong strategic planning and business acumen, with the ability to develop and execute effective operational strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive performance excellence.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends and insights, and make data-driven decisions.
