Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the CEO to develop and execute corporate strategy across multiple business units
  • Transform strategic vision into operational plans and measurable outcomes
  • Drive operational efficiency and business growth across the conglomerate
  • Lead strategic initiatives for market expansion and business development
  • Serve as a key member of the Executive Committee and Board meetings
  • Act as CEO's deputy and alternate representative when required
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple business units including hospitality, trading, real estate, and services
  • Drive operational excellence and process optimization across all business units
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each business unit
  • Implement best practices for operational efficiency while considering local market dynamics
  • Lead cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality standards
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and major clients
  • Lead strategic planning processes across business units
  • Drive digital transformation and technology adoption
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the Nigerian market
  • Oversee major capital projects and infrastructure development
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and implement crisis management and business continuity plans
  • Ensure efficient supply chain and logistics operations across Nigeria
  • Optimize inventory management and warehouse operations
  • Oversee quality control and operational standards
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and service providers
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards
  • Monitor and improve operational costs and efficiency metrics
  • Build and lead high-performing teams across multiple business units
  • Develop future leaders within the organization
  • Foster a culture of excellence and accountability
  • Drive performance management and talent development
  • Manage succession planning for key operational roles
  • Build strong relationships with labor unions and staff associations
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian regulatory requirements
  • Implement robust risk management frameworks
  • Oversee health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Manage security operations across business locations
  • Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery readiness
  • Monitor and mitigate operational risks


Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive business experience
  • 5+ years in senior leadership roles
  • Proven track record in managing diverse business operations
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian business environment
  • Experience in managing multiple business units
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence
