Description:
The Outreach & Partnerships Manager will play a critical role in driving growth and expanding the charity’s reach. This person will be responsible for identifying new funding opportunities, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and developing strategies to increase income from diverse sources, including corporate partnerships, donors, trusts, and foundations.
Responsibilities:
- Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to increase the charity’s funding base.
- Partnership Development: Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners, donors, foundations, and other stakeholders.
- Grant Writing & Proposal Development: Research, write, and submit high-quality funding proposals to trusts, foundations, and corporate sponsors.
- Market Research: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, keeping up to date with sector trends and emerging opportunities.
- Donor Engagement: Manage donor relationships and develop stewardship strategies to retain and grow donor contributions.
- Networking: Attend relevant conferences, events, and meetings to expand the charity’s network and promote our mission.
- Impact Reporting: Provide regular reports to management on the progress of business development activities and the impact of secured funding.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in business development, fundraising, or partnership management, essentially within the charity or nonprofit sector.
- Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Strong proposal writing and presentation skills.
- Knowledge: Understanding of the fundraising landscape, including trust and foundation funding, corporate giving, and donor engagement strategies.
- Initiative: A proactive, results-oriented approach with a proven ability to meet fundraising targets.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams to align business development activities with the charity's objectives.
- Education: A degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
