Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures to ensure alignment with the company’s mission, vision, and growth objectives.
  • Oversee the formulation of policies and procedures to optimize operational performance across all departments.
  • Establish performance metrics and accountability measures to drive productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the creation and execution of operational initiatives, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet both short-term and long-term goals.
  • Directly supervise department heads (e.g., Operations, HR, Finance, IT, and Sales) to foster a high-performance culture and encourage continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and develop department leaders, creating succession plans and supporting professional growth within the team.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting open communication, mutual respect, and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Work closely with the CFO to manage budgets, control costs, and oversee financial planning to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Analyze and interpret financial reports, operational data, and other performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure the company meets its operational and financial targets through efficient cost management and process optimization.
  • Evaluate and improve processes, systems, and policies to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Drive the implementation of technology solutions to streamline operations, enhance decision-making, and improve service delivery.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges and ensure business continuity.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and partners, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
  • Represent the company in public forums, industry events, and with regulatory authorities to maintain a positive company image.
  • Prepare and deliver regular updates and performance reports to the CEO and board of directors, outlining progress on strategic initiatives and KPIs.



Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is required; a Master's degree (e.g., MBA) is highly desirable.
  • At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience, with a proven track record in a senior management role, preferably as a COO or Head of Operations.
  • Deep understanding of [specific industry, e.g. technology, manufacturing, healthcare] operations is preferred.
  • Professional certifications in management, operations, or project management (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma) are advantageous.
  • Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to execute a vision and drive business growth.
  • Extensive knowledge of operational management principles, including resource allocation, performance optimization, and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience in building, motivating, and leading high- performance teams.
  • Sound understanding of financial management principles, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Analytical and decisive thinker with a track record of identifying problems and implementing effective solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
