Chief Operating Officer

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operational functions of the company, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Lead and manage project teams to ensure timely and quality completion of all construction projects.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
• Monitor project progress, resource allocation, and budgets to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the executive team to create and implement strategic plans.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Analyze operational data and trends, providing actionable insights to improve business performance.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A MSc is an added advantage.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects and teams. Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with project management software and other industry-related tools.
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of budgeting, cost control, and resource management.
