Nutritionist

Responsibilities: 

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' nutritional needs based on their medical history, lifestyle, and dietary habits.
• Develop personalized nutrition plans and therapeutic diets tailored to individual health conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, or obesity.
• Educate patients on healthy eating habits, food choices, and lifestyle modifications to improve their overall health and manage chronic conditions.
• Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition plans into overall patient care.
• Regularly monitor patients' progress and adjust nutrition plans as needed to achieve desired health outcomes.
• Provide ongoing counseling and support to help patients adhere to their dietary plans and make lasting lifestyle changes.
• Stay updated on the latest nutritional science and research to provide evidence-based recommendations and contribute to the development of new nutritional programs.

Requirements:

• Minimum academic qualification of a B.Sc. in Human Nutrition or related fields.
• 3 – 4 years of relevant work experience in a similar role preferably in the Health sector.
• A licensed member of the Dietetics Council of Nigeria (IDN or DAN) would be an added advantage.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and people management skills.
• Intermediate Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
• Possess a high degree of organization and attention to detail.
