Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Dispensing medications: Filling prescriptions, ensuring patients receive the correct dose and drug, and organizing repeat prescriptions.
- Providing information: Offer advice on potential side effects. Provide health information and counseling. Educate patients on how to take their medication
- Managing inventory: Ensure medications are stocked properly and Manage pharmacy supplies.
- Promoting healthy lifestyles: Recommend routine screenings. Perform health screenings, such as blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol check. Provide advice on nutrition, diet, exercise, and smoking cessation
- Other duties: Review patients' medical history. Check for drug interactions. Dispose of medication. Assess patients' eligibility for vaccines. Ensure proper administration techniques for vaccines. Oversee daily operations. Comply with regulatory requirements. Supervise interns, student pharmacists, and dispensary assistants
