Company Driver

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods or personnel between states and across Nigeria.
• Ability to utilize maps, and local knowledge to navigate efficiently across major Nigerian roads and highways.
• Ensure compliance with road safety regulations, traffic laws, and guidelines from Federal and State authorities.
• Professionally handle interactions with road safety officials e.g. FRSC, Customs, and other relevant agencies at checkpoints and roadblocks.
• Conduct regular checks on vehicle health, such as fuel level, oil, tyres, and mechanical functions, and report any issues.
• Follow strict safety protocols to protect company property and ensure the security of transported goods or personnel
• Maintain accurate trip logs including mileage, fuel usage, and deliveries/pickups, and submit reports to management as required.
• Adhere to delivery schedules and respond to traffic, weather, or road-related delays to ensure on-time arrivals.
• Act as a representative of the company, ensuring a professional demeanor and communication with clients partners, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• ND/HND in a  related field
• Good command of the English language
• The ability to speak and understand Yoruba language is an added advantage
• Valid driver's license and proven experience with long-distance, interstate driving in Nigeria.
• String knowledge of Nigeria's road network, traffic laws, routes across major cities and states.
• Ability to interact with Federal authorities with professionalism and patience.
• Must be able to work independently 
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance 
• Ability to handle physical demands such as loading/offloading items 
• Flexibility of working hours including weekends and holidays if need be
