Job Summary / Role description
He/She acts as the leader of a group of specialists and/or engineers dedicated to specific activities paramount to the execution of the project.
He/She acts as a support of the Head of Department in training resources, maintaining and developing the specific competences of the Civil & Architectural Group.
With Head of Department, he/she is responsible of assigning and optimizing the resources dedicated to the projects.
He/She might be dedicated as a sponsor to a project according to the specific needs.
The Civil Project Leader is responsible for the peculiarities of the project and reports to the Head of Department for man-hours, resources and the quality of the deliverables.
Duties and Responsibilities
To plan the manpower activities of the Civil & Architectural Group and to guarantee the quality of the deliverables generated by the specialists and/or engineers of the group, supporting them in meeting the contractual requirements of the projects satisfying the assigned budget and time schedule.
With Head of Department, to guarantee coordination with other groups in the department and to harmonize specific processes and tools with other Units (specially with TICB), so to create a common approach and to optimize as much as possible use of resources.
To plan, to define and to update Work Instruction’s, standard documents, TM’s.
To identify the dedicated personnel of his/her group for projects and tenders.
To guarantee the application and the continuous updating of the department and Company standards, procedures and work instructions.
To conduct technical training as per department and Company needs and to exchange experience with colleagues of the entire Tecnimont Group for new design techniques; specifically, to promote the technical growth of the specialists and/or engineers within the group.
To keep himself/herself up-to-date about the technical specific improvement of the discipline and to transfer the knowledge to the other specialists and engineers.
To assist the Civil Project Leader and the Head of Department in the preparation of the execution strategy of the project (including the project schedule) and in taking all the actions (manpower and working instructions) to assure its application throughout the entire project life.
To monitor the market about the “state of art” to provide technical and commercial evaluations about new products, technologies, workflow, applications and so forth.
To prepare, maintain and improve the use of economic and technical historical data bank for the peculiarities of the scope of work of the group.
To qualify vendors and subcontractors and update of the relevant list, according to the department required scope.
Secure the issue of reinforced concrete and architectural documents relevant to plant works, as per job requirement, performed in different engineering centers, on the basis given by Civil Head of Department, in agreement with the Civil Project Leader.
Define concepts to allow engineers and architects to prepare general specifications for each project.
Provide assistance, if any, during testing, erection, and construction. Assist the Civil Project Leaders for those part of the works whose engineering is directly managed by them.
Define and update internal standards in accordance with economic optimization criteria.
Update and develop design software.
Assess the revision of domestic and foreign standards, informing Civil Project Leaders, designers and the Estimating Group Leader of the relevant impact.
Qualification
Candidates should possess a University Degree
Experience:
Experiences in Refinery operation
Plant for the gas treatment
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail, management skills
Team-oriented skills, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution
